An Initial Planning Meeting for An Alternative University in Canada

Background: In the spring of 2005, a listserv was created to facilitate thecreation of a university focused on social justice and environmental
awareness in Canada. The listserv encountered overwhelming interest fromacross the country. This meeting has three purposes:

1. Create and define an organisational structure to support the project

2. Develop a consultative process to define the vision of the university
in an inclusive manner.

3. Build community amongst a diverse group of people around a common purpose
