Kite and A Priori -
"Kite explores the boundaries between jazz and rock...Each member is a very active player in the Montreal jazz, indie, and improvised music scenes..."
http://www.myspace.com/aprioriaprioriapriori
"A Priori are musically amorphous. They enjoy British comedy and the fruits of craft breweries. Some are in relationships, while others remain deviant and hopelessly romantic. They talk trash, and seek subjective truths in and around topics relating to juice, the printed word, CBC, and bike theft. They crave solidarity, and a decent nights sleep. Fela, Miles, Aphex, Glass, Reich, Dolphy, and Dilla would be, for them, the ideal dinner crowd." Facebook event: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=112326422167723

Wednesday October 27th - Group Pumpkin Carve & "The Dark Side of Chocolate" screening - 5-8pm
With Halloween fast approaching, we thought it'd be fun to get together in a group, share tools and ideas and carve some pumpkins! Bring your own squash or collaboratively carve one provided. We're hoping to fill up the front window with glowing orange faces! All ages are welcome to help design pumpkins and scoop out pumpkin guts, adults will yield the sharp stuff though.
Saturday is the farmer's market, so we suggest picking up a pumpkin there. If you don't have one, come anyways...we will share. Also, we can roast the seeds for a tasty snack during the movie!
At 6:30pm, we will be a screening "The Dark Side of Chocolate", an in-depth, undercover look at chocolate production in West Africa, followed by discussion about how we can make future Halloween events child-labour free. Chocolate, it's not as sweet as it seems.

Thanks to the International Labour Rights Forum for making this production available. Happy Halloween! Blessed Samhain!

Although we will be making time and space available for everyone to participate, obviously showing off a talent isn't mandatory and you can definitely just show up to support the Bookfair and check out the show.
